It is nighttime or on the weekend and the family is riding in the car tossing around ideas regarding where you are going to eat. This is usually a hot topic with my family and more times than not, we don’t agree. One of us may say, I’m in the mood for seafood or possibly a steak dinner. Red Lobster immediately comes to mind when I hear either of these mentioned. I mean, what better place is there for Seafood? The problem for us is that we may be coming from some place, such as, a sporting event and don’t feel dressed for the occasion. This is not a problem for people who love to eat at Red Lobster. Red Lobster has been around for a long time. The first restaurant was started in 1968 by founder Bill Dardin. His core values have been mandated for years to each and every franchise that boasts the Red Lobster name. The restaurant prides itself on creating a positive and inviting atmosphere only hiring individuals who will uphold those standards. That is really important inside of the four walls of the Adrian Red Lobster. In order to work at Red Lobster, all interviewees must make it through a company assessment and two interviews. Red Lobster wants individuals that are not only pleasant but also those who will be willing to offer a positive dining experience to their customers. Bethany Adkins, who has managed Red Lobster in Adrian for many years stated, “Red Lobster is a great place to take your family because we create a family-friendly environment. In fact, I am now employing second-generation family members since my start here. I think that says a lot about how good it is to work here.
Not only is it great for a single-family dining experience, it is also great for large-sized parties. Reservation options are also available for family or work related events.
Red Lobster offers weekday specials and happy hour is available Monday – Friday. There are four yearly promotions. One of the fan favorites starts in September: Endless Shrimp.
Red Lobster also gives back to the community. “We love to contribute and work outside of our four walls states Bethany Adkins. We have participated in various events to help support the community.” Adrian Red Lobster partnered with Michigan State through the LISD building on teaching lower income people how to shop and cook healthy meals. Red Lobster also partners with the Salvation Army, donating cooked food that it still delicious but cannot be used past a certain time period exceeding the state food code standards.
With so many restaurants that come and go, Red Lobster has staying power. What is the secret? Obviously, great food, customer service, and accessibility are keys to longevity in this food industry. Red Lobster has done an excellent job keeping up with the trends, while never compromising quality food and service. Constant training is provided for everyone from the hostess to the dishwasher. With that kind of commitment, I am sure that Red Lobster will be around for years to come. Who can resist those Cheddar Bay biscuits? I am ready to get my fix just writing about it.
